My work supports writing projects for clients in business, the arts, and government.
Deep experience with business, technical, academic, and creative writing has developed my ear for natural phrasing, brevity, accuracy, and vivid imagery. I serve as an editorial board member at the Malahat Review and have edited books for academic and literary publishers. My own releases include peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, scholarly essays, and creative non-fiction.
My Master’s program at the University of Calgary culminated with the thesis Loving Strife (2015). Doctoral studies brought me to the University of Victoria, where I taught academic writing and sat on the University’s Senate and Board of Governors. UVic awarded my Ph.D. in 2021 for a dissertation titled Serious Play.
